Josh Dugar has been in a Texas jail for a few months now, but The Ashley learns that his devoted wife Anne does everything she can to maintain their marriage, despite Josh being sentenced to 12.5 years in prison for receiving child pornography (CSAM).
According The AshleyAccording to the sources behind bars, Anna faithfully visits Josh every other weekend, despite the nearly six-hour drive from his home in Arkansas to the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Seagoville where Josh is housed. .
While Anna continues to visit Josh faithfully (even recently on back-to-back weekends earlier this month, due to Anna attending an event nearby in Texas), Ashley’s sources tell her say the couple actually disagree on one topic: whether or not Anna and their seven children should move to Texas.
According to Ashley’s source, Anna is currently looking for a home for herself and the children near the prison. However, Josh, who recently appealed, is unhappy that Anna is considering moving to Texas.
“He thinks he’ll beat his appeal and feels his wife’s move is unnecessary. He tends to think they’ll overturn his case,” the source told The Ashley, adding that it had caused tension for the couple.
“Josh and Anna had an argument on the phone and Josh didn’t speak to her for two days, which is huge because he calls every day.”
The source claimed that Josh currently has 500 phone minutes per month, but has no access to email “due to his workload”.
“An inmate accused of sexual assault [get email privileges]“, tells the source to The Ashley. “An inmate with a sex charge must prove himself without problem and with time under his belt. Josh asked the warden to receive an email [privileges]but was quickly refused.
The source goes on to say that Anna seems “tired, broken and exhausted” during her visits with Josh.
“His actions seem to have really affected her,” the source said.
In fact, The Ashley can reveal that Anna recently sent Josh some religious books that she thinks will help their relationship.
“She sent him the book Come closer: a devotion for couples“, tells the source to The Ashley.
According to the book’s listing on Amazon, this book – which is written by Willard F. Harley and his wife Joyce – brings “devotions to readers to help them increase their intimacy with God and with each other.”
“Each devotional begins with a story and includes a brief meditation, relevant Bible passage, and application questions to help make the principles a reality,” the listing reads.
Anna would also have sent the book to Josh Love and respect: the love she most desires, the respect he desperately needs by Dr. Emerson Eggerich.
“While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict, a woman’s driving need is love and a man’s driving need is respect,” reads the book’s Amazon listing. “When any of these needs are not met, things get crazy…If you want to feel peace, closeness, worth and experience marriage as God intended, this book will help you to achieve it.”
Stay tuned… The Ashley will have more updates soon.
