A LinkedIn Page for your business can help you grow your professional network and find clients online. Here’s how to easily create one!
LinkedIn Pages allow you to create a detailed profile for your business or organization. You can showcase your brand, services, products and available job opportunities without having to use your personal profile.
In this article, we’ll show you how to create a new LinkedIn Page, optimize it, and how it can help you promote your business. Please note that creating LinkedIn Pages is only possible on PC.
How to set up a new LinkedIn Page for your business
Creating a LinkedIn Page is easy and will only take about two minutes to go live. Here’s how:
- Log into your LinkedIn account on your computer and click Work top right.
- Click on Create a business page at the bottom right of the available options.
- Click it Company tongue. You can use the Showcase page tab later if you want to associate two or more pages with each other. Use the Educational institution if the page you are working on is about a school or college.
- On the next page, fill in all the required details and add a logo if you have one. On the right, the preview will show you how your page will look to your audience and potential customers.
- Add a catchy tagline, confirm that all your details are correct without any typos, and tick the verification box after reading the LinkedIn page terms.
- Click it Create a page button and your page should go live immediately.
- To access your page, go to your profile home page—your pages will always be visible at the bottom left under the My Pages section.
What’s the next step after creating your LinkedIn Page?
Now that your page is live, you need to make a few more tweaks to improve how your audience interacts with your business:
- Added a cover image. To do this, go to your homepage, locate your page at the bottom left of your screen, and upload a cover image just like you would on your personal LinkedIn profile.
- Click it Edit the page button and add the following details; description, workplace module, locations, custom button, lead generation form, hashtags, featured groups and languages used in your organization.
- Remember to add your website URL in the details if your business has an official website.
- Start building a following by inviting your existing connections (capped at 100 per day) to follow your page. Open your page and follow the Grow your followers fast. You must have all the basic details including a description to unlock this feature.
- Click it View as a member in the top right to see what your page will look like to other LinkedIn members.
- Host regular posts on LinkedIn to build a loyal following who are potential leads.
Why You Should Create a LinkedIn Page for Your Business
LinkedIn can be a powerful lead generation tool if used correctly. The same principles of optimizing your LinkedIn profile apply when creating a page for your business. Once everything is set up, you can enjoy these benefits:
- You will be able to present the services of your company.
- Potential employees can get a feel for your organization before applying.
- When your employees add your business to their profile, you might get more exposure.
- A company page allows you to delegate management to other staff members.
- You’ll know when someone on LinkedIn mentions your brand or company.
- Your business can relay information to a more targeted audience.
- You can pin an important post to the top of your page without worrying that it will disappear in your feed.
Showcase your brand with LinkedIn Pages
Separating your professional network from your personal network can go a long way to energizing your work. A Company Page allows you to delegate Page management tasks to your staff while continuing to build more connections with your LinkedIn profile.
You can always direct your personal profile connections to your page later. Unless you are a personal brand, opening a company page would go a long way in boosting your company’s presence on LinkedIn.
