Ashley Judd broke her leg in a ‘freak accident’ as she mourned the death of her mother Naomi Judd.
The actress revealed that the fractured femoral condyle occurred over the summer and healed in two months, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

On how she dealt with her death, Ashley said: ‘The day my beloved mother died by suicide, I had so many people to call. There were five women who were with me moments after I shared this tragic news with them, and they are my chosen sisters.

Ashley said the next 55 hours after the accident were “heartbreaking” as she “started with five hours lying on the forest floor”.
She was with a colleague like that until she could be evacuated, the star explained.

In July 2021, Ashley gave fans an update on her leg, five months after her accident, revealing that her leg and foot were “working great”. as she continued to build her stamina and strength.
