A new iQOO flagship is on the shelves and its name is iQOO Neo7. We can consider it the first true affordable flagship powered by the most powerful MediaTek mobile platform of this year and thanks to that and other features, it’s an amazing phone for all gamers. But there is another device released by the sub-brand of Vivo, perfect for gamers and with top-level performance. We’re talking about the iQOO 9T: while the Neo 7 is equipped with the most powerful MediaTek chipset, the 9T is powered by the most advanced chipset released by Qualcomm this year, if we exclude the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. Here is a comparison between the main specifications of iQOO Neo7 and iQOO 9T which will highlight the differences between these two phones.

Design
The iQOO Neo 7 and iQOO 9T have original designs, with large camera modules and special color options. Among them, I personally prefer the iQOO 9T because of its two-piece rear cover with different colors, especially in the BMW M Motorsport themed edition, also known as the Legend color option. It’s also built with better materials, including glass for the back (the front glass is protected by Gorilla Glass 5) and aluminum for the frame. In addition, the 9T adds something very interesting for gamers, which we will tell you about in the section of this comparison relating to the display. Finally, this handset is IP52 certified, making it dust and splash resistant, but note that this is not a waterproof phone.
Display
The iQOO Neo7 and the iQOO 9T have the exact same display panel. It’s a 6.78-inch diagonal AMOLED display capable of displaying up to a billion colors with Full HD Plus resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ certified. It’s protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and includes an in-display fingerprint reader. Unlike the more advanced Vivo flagships, the in-display fingerprint reader in this case is optical, not ultrasonic. The iQOO 9T comes with an additional screen feature: the Monster Touch. It is able to detect the pressure level of your finger in order to unlock more controls during gaming sessions. This is a very useful feature for professional gamers. Another important advantage of the 9T is the presence of stereo speakers, since the iQOO Neo 7 only has a mono speaker.
Specifications and software
The hardware department is the highlight of both of these phones. They are powered by the best processors from MediaTek and Qualcomm, respectively. The iQOO Neo7 sports the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ platform built with a 4nm production process and sporting an octa-core architecture that includes a Cortex X2 processor running at 3.2 GHz, two Cortex A710 processors running at 2, 85 GHz and four Cortex A510 processors running at 1.8 GHz, along with a Mali G710 MC10 GPU. RAM goes up to 12 GB, while internal storage goes up to 512 GB. The highest-end memory configuration of the iQOO 9T has 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, while that the processor is the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 built at 4 nm and with a maximum frequency of 3.19 GHz. Note that the Neo 7 runs Android 13 out of the box, while the 9T is Android 12 based.
Camera
The iQOO 9T wins the camera comparison thanks to the presence of better secondary sensors: we have a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 12 MP telephoto sensor with 2x optical zoom and a 13 MP ultra wide shooter with an FOV of 120 degrees. The iQOO Neo7 has a triple rear camera comprising the same 50 MP main sensor, an 8 MP ultra wide camera and a 2 MP macro shooter.
Battery
With the iQOO Neo7, you can get a larger 5000mAh battery that provides longer life. Blazing charging speeds are the same, thanks to 120W fast charging.
Price
The iQOO Neo7 starts at around $380 or €380 in China, while you need around $600/€600 to buy the iQOO 9T in India. Looking at the overall specs, the 9T wins the comparison thanks to better cameras.
