Adding clarification to his comments in his original videos to “defend myself and my reputation in the industry”, Taylor – who will not be voicing Bayonetta in the upcoming third game – said the social media that he was initially offered $10,000, and before declining a subsequent offer of $15,000.
“I then heard nothing from them for 11 months. Then they offered me a package to voice some lines for $4,000,” she said, before saying that all that was reported was untrue, including claims that she was offered $4,000 each for five sessions, that she wanted a six-figure sum, and that there had been “long negotiations.”
“I’m a team player. I was just asking for a fair and decent salary in line with the value I bring to this game,” Taylor added.
“I was paid an outrageously low total of £3,000 in total for the first game. A little more for the second. I wanted to express that. I’ve had interest in this game ever since I started on Twitter in 2011.”
BloombergJason Schreier, who previously claimed to have seen evidence refuting Taylor’s initial comments, responded on Twitter“Former Bayonetta voice actor Hellena Taylor now confirms my report that she was offered at least $15,000 and the final offer was for a cameo, despite claims in a video that went viral this week last.”

In a series of videos on Twitter, Taylor alleged that developer PlatinumGames only offered her $4,000 in total over five different sessions. She said it was well below a living wage and urged fans to boycott the game and donate to charity.
However, in a report of Bloombergof Jason Schreier, he claims to have seen evidence suggesting that PlatinumGames offered him $3,000 to $4,000 per session in accordance with the SAG-AFTRA union rate and that she rejected the offer, asking for a six-figure payment as well as royalties.
When the decision was made to replace her as Bayonetta, an offer was apparently made for her to make an appearance on one session’s pay, but that offer was thought not to have been accepted. Taylor has since disputed that report, saying it was not true.

Jennifer Hale also released a statement in which she explained she was under NDA and couldn’t say much about the situation, but asked people to keep an open mind and treat each other “in a friendly and respectful manner”. .
Bayonet 3 will be released exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 28.
