Trying to build a lasting legacy in games can be a difficult task, but for the Swedish studio fatsharkthe trick is to replicate the success with the excellent Vermintide franchise. Even with the imminent arrival of Warhammer 40,000: Darktideit remains to be seen how many more improvements the studio could make to an established formula, but as it turns out, much like the ever-evolving experience of each combat scenario, our time spent in the closed beta test of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide was a pleasant surprise, and more.
Here are three things that should excite both newcomers and veterans to the world of Tertium.

#1. Simplified for the Modern war hammer Live
If you are new to this side of the war hammer world, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide isn’t a bad place to start. We’ve got the Hive City of Tertium at the center of the conflict between the Inquisition and Chaos itself, and that’s about all you need to know if you want to get things started.

Dive a little deeper and you can add your own twists to all four classes. The Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn, and Psyker are all recognizable faces, but gameplay-wise they make instant sense. The veteran is great at range, the zealot wants to do business up close, and the ogryns are tanking beasts that should always be on the cutting edge. Finally, Psykers Are As Close To Magic As You’ll Get Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
Their stories and such may not matter beyond the flavor text, but for those invested in this universe, you have the choice of decorating your character however you see fit. Role-playing remains a distinct and entertaining possibility, and the real action has only just begun.
#2. Fun shooter
One of the main characteristics of the Vermintide series was its utterly satisfying melee combat systems, and that remains the case in this new Fatshark adventure. Enemies will always rush you, forcing players knee-deep in blood and guts.
However, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide takes it a step further by making ranged combat a vital cog in the fighting machine, not a replacement, but a great improvement on something many have rightly praised over the years.

Between slicing and chopping agents of Chaos into tiny little pieces, ranged weapons have easily become one of the best parts of the game. Having a partner who can take out enemy hordes from a distance is always valuable, and given the Varied level design and enemy AI, players will need all the help they can get.
It is also useful to see some of the tools that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide provides players, to complement this new focus on ranged combat. Need to eliminate a group of enemies? Throw a grenade into the masses or use the Ogryn class as a weapon itself as you dash and push against the hordes. Would you rather take a breather than rush headlong into danger? Take cover and pray for the regenerative shield to fire. There will surely be more such examples when the full experience launches on November 30.
And this is the crucial point, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide really feels like an evolution of the formula Fatshark had apparently perfected over the years, rather than a change or forced implementation. Knowing the same love and attention that has been invested in this new project bodes well for the community thirsting for more cooperative actions like this.
#3. Teamwork to achieve the dream
And, of course, with the legacy of Vermintideit was inevitable that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide once again pushes the boundaries of cooperative play and how to best enjoy the visceral action that awaits you in Tertium.
The basic gameplay loop can still be experienced with bots, but nothing quite replicates the fun of having a full squad of four against overwhelming odds. It’s clear that the different classes are meant to play against each other, synergizing in different ways for potential new ways to play.

When everyone does their job accordingly, it becomes a harmonious blend of destruction, and when someone messes it up, it becomes a rush to safety as the world crumbles before you. Either way, it’s pure fun.
progress in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is also helped by this continued focus on co-op, as things will only get more intense as you get deeper into the game. This means tougher enemies to face, better rewards, and hopefully a better team to Try the challenge.
At this point, there is no doubt that a solid foundation has been built for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. Even as a closed beta test, there’s already a lot to like about Fatshark’s latest offering, and it wouldn’t be hard to translate that into the finished product on November 30. If that’s what Tertium has to offer, consider us fired up and ready to die for the Inquisition.

When it comes to providing the right hardware at the right price, Destro is the man of the hour. Don’t count on it keeping its offers exclusive to a single game. If you have change, Destro has the goods.
